Resources & Infrastructure Industry Training Package
ADVANCED DIPLOMA OF EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRIES MANAGEMENT
SENIOR QUARRY MANAGERS TRAINING,
ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
What is an Advanced Diploma?
This qualification is for a manager of a larger, more complex quarry. They perform tasks involving a high level of autonomy and requiring the application of significant judgment in planning and determining the selection of equipment/roles/techniques for themselves and others. They are responsible for the establishment of the site management systems, plans and policies and are required to demonstrate self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements. The qualification formalizes a package of competencies – and recognizes an individual’s knowledge, experience and use of both, across the minimum number of Units.
A program has been developed which is completed via a combination of workplace evidence collection and intense block training as required by the individual participant, leads to a qualification developed by SkillsDMC as a direct response to Australia-wide industry consultation, and has been developed specifically for managers.
From this qualification, participants may move in to other related qualifications such Advanced Diploma of Metalliferous Mining, or participants may move in to the higher education arena.
